Collaborations feel most meaningful when there is a shared appreciation for craftsmanship, authenticity and materials with a story to tell. Our recent collaboration with My Mulberry House, led by interior stylist Leah Lane, was a perfect meeting of minds.
We helped Leah transform a space she fondly calls her ‘fancy room’ where her family enjoy spending time over Christmas. Designed for calm moments, family living and beautiful details, the room called for a floor that felt timeless, soulful and deeply connected to nature.
My Mulberry House and the Choice of Heritage Oak
When selecting flooring for the fancy room, Leah chose our Heritage Oak, a floor that embodies everything both Coppice & Crown and My Mulberry House value. Made from carefully selected, locally grown British oak, Heritage Oak celebrates character rather than uniformity. The depth and character of our Heritage Oak felt entirely at home within Leah’s 1718 property, sitting naturally alongside the building’s age, patina and sense of history.
Knots, grain movement, mineral markings and gentle colour variation are all embraced, creating a floor that feels honest and lived-in from the very beginning. For My Mulberry House, this authenticity was key – a floor that would quietly support the room’s layered textures and thoughtful styling.
Creating a Timeless Interior with My Mulberry House
Laid in wide, generous boards, the Heritage Oak flooring immediately grounds the space. The scale of the boards allows the natural grain of the oak to take centre stage, giving the room a sense of balance and ease.
As the light changes throughout the day, the oak responds beautifully, adding warmth and depth without overpowering the rest of the interior. It’s a subtle, enduring foundation – exactly what Leah envisioned for the fancy room at My Mulberry House.
Crafted in North Devon and Made to Last
Every board used in this project was crafted in our North Devon sawmill using British oak, sourced responsibly and with full traceability. As with all Coppice & Crown floors, Heritage Oak is solid throughout, designed to age gracefully and be lived on for generations.
This is flooring made for real life – for gathering, moving, dancing and slowing down. A natural partner to the thoughtful, soulful interiors My Mulberry House is known for.
Celebrating Character and Imperfection
One of the most rewarding aspects of working with My Mulberry House was Leah’s instinctive appreciation for imperfection. Rather than disguising natural features, she celebrated them, allowing the floor’s character to become part of the room’s story.
The result is a space that feels both elevated and grounded – where the flooring doesn’t simply sit beneath the furniture, but actively shapes the mood and rhythm of the room.
Thank You, My Mulberry House
We’re incredibly grateful to Leah Lane and My Mulberry House for trusting us with such a personal project and for sharing the transformation so openly. This collaboration is a wonderful example of how thoughtful design and honest materials can come together to create spaces with lasting meaning.
